Whether you are a complete novice to flower arranging or a professional florist looking for new ideas and inspiration then Jennie Mann is your one stop Flower School.

Our courses run from basic 90 minute demonstration sessions through to a weeks intensive tuition covering all areas from how to simply display and arrange your house flowers through to planning and arranging flowers for weddings and functions.

Jennie Mann was established in East Finchley in the 1980's and rapidly built a reputation for supplying high quality flowers and arrangements. The flower school works on this same ethos using quality materials.

Flower arranging demonstrations – 90 minutes

£29.50 per person

Our hugely successful and popular flower arranging demonstrations are held weekly and the theme changes with the seasons.  We invite you to join us for a glass of wine and nibbles and enjoy the amazing skill and craftsmanship of the team while they create wonderful arrangements before your very eyes.  This is your opportunity to find out all those trade secrets and ask as many questions as you like. At the end of the evening you will have the opportunity to purchase any of the items made and enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases in both Jennie Mann Flowers and HOME.  The price includes a gift to take home.  A fun and informative evening for all.

Half Day or Extended Evening course – 3 hours

The half day course which is three hours in total covers fewer topics within the session but has been designed to equip you with the necessary techniques to go home feeling confident to use your newly acquired skills. At the end of the session you get to take home your very own arrangement to show your family and friends your spectacular work of art.

On arrival enjoy a fresh cup of coffee with biscuits while you sit back and enjoy a relaxed and informative flower arranging demonstration. Then the fun really begins… it’s your chance get to work with the flowers and create what you’ve just seen the professionals create. This is a perfect introduction to the world of flower arranging.

The topics that we cover on the half-day course are never ending but do change seasonally. We recommend that you check the site or call us regularly to find out about the latest class topics.

For the winter season our sessions are as follows:

• Classic Country Christmas – Table and mantelpiece arrangements, £125 per person

Let us help you create the perfect Christmas centrepieces for the table and the mantelpiece. At Jennie Mann we will help you to create the traditional green and red colour scheme that we have all come to associate with Christmas, combined with a relaxed country look. Think pine, holly and berries.

• Chic Contemporary Christmas – Keeping it simple, £150 per person

This session is for the fashion and trend conscious seasonal decorator. Bring along your own decorations and we will help you to create table centres and mantelpiece settings to match. We can even help you to incorporate your decorations into the table centres and mantelpiece arrangements.

• Party, Party, Party – Dinner party table settings and house flowers, £175 per person

So you've got the Jones' coming for dinner and you really do want to keep up with them. We can do one better and show you how to impress even the most style savvy of friends with simple yet oh so stunning effect. Think crystal, candlelight and sumptuous flower groupings.  We will also demonstrate how to arrange stunning displays for the house.  What more can one ask for? 

• Door Wreaths and Garlands, £150 per person

The Jennie Mann door wreath is recognised throughout London. It is plush and luxurious. In this session we will guide you through the techniques whilst you make your very own wreath. We will also show you to how make garlands for your porch, doorway or wherever you choose to hang it.

• It doesn’t just have to be flowers – Displays incorporating fruit and veg.

With so many beautiful and exotic fruits and vegetables available to buy in the supermarkets at this time of year we just can’t help putting them in our arrangements at Jennie Mann. We'll show you how to incorporate them into your arrangements even if you don't know quite what to do with a kumquat!!

Day course – 5 hours, £350 per person (price includes £15 voucher for lunch at La Rugoletta)

All of our sessions begin with a flower arranging demonstration while you sit back and relax with a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee.

The day course at the Jennie Mann Flower School mainly focuses on a few subjects with the emphasis on teaching good techniques. Topics change from week to week. The topics range from Traditional table and mantle piece displays to stylish contemporary arrangements; you may also wish to learn how to plant your patio pots. At the flower school we cover it all.
